Think about this for a minute...
When it comes to maintaining a lean, strong, and healthy physique, who better to model after than the U.S. Military?
I mean, the armed forces has to address the exercise and dietary needs of over 1.5 million soldiers to keep them "lean and mean" regardless of...
>> Whether they are a MAN or a WOMAN!
>> No matter what AGE they are!
>> No matter how BIG or SMALL they are!
>> And they have to fit it into EVERYONE'S schedule no matter how "busy" things get!
So I decided to touch base with a former U.S. Army "Master Fitness Trainer" who knows EXACTLY how to whip ANYONE into top shape in the shortest time possible.
His name is Jeff Anderson and here's what he had to say...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Q. Jeff, you wrote a book about how "everyday men and women" can use military fitness training to
burn fat.
Is it REALLY that easy for non-military people train this way?
Note: Jeff's book can be seen by clicking

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
A. Yes...I've had INCREDIBLE success with using the exact same training and dietary techniques I used in the military with men AND women all the way up into their 60's and 70's!
Most people think you have to be a "young guy" to train this way.
That's not true at all.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Q. Then what is it that makes the U.S. Military's health regimen so effective for keeping soldiers in top shape?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Well basically it HAS to be...no excuses!
The military knows that a "fat" soldier is a "dead" soldier. That may stun some people but it's a hard truth that the armed forces knows well.
So with that in mind, they've sunk BILLIONS of dollars into researching the best exercise and dietary strategies that really work.
We have men and women of ALL ages, body types, and fitness levels so the program has to be comprehensive and powerful.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Q. So the WOMEN train right along with the men? Do they each follow a different program?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
A. Yes, they train with the men and they do the exact same exercises we do.
There's no difference because the principles of staying lean and healthy are EXACTLY the same for all of us.
You need to focus on keeping your muscle strong because that's what helps you
burn fat all day long.
EVERYONE has to do the same pushups...pull ups...and other exercises during training.
That may make some "civilian" women cringe at the thought of doing pullups but I've seen 65 y.o. "grannies" doing full "military" pullups and they look GREAT for their age.
Both men and women are amazed at how quickly they can adapt to these exercises and how incredibly EFFECTIVE they are!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Q. So there's a strong emphasis on "weight training" in the military?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
A. Definitely! We do cardio as well, but we're obviously known for "pushups & situps"...and there's a reason for that.
For every pound of lean muscle on your body, you burn an extra 14 calories per day.
Compare that to just 4 calories burned for every pound of body fat and you can see that you can burn over 300% more calories throughout the day just by focusing on building more lean muscle and holding back the fat gain.
Bodyweight training is superior for burning fat and ideal for all ages and fitness levels.
Plus, it can be done anywhere!
At home, while traveling, at the gym...ANYWHERE!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Q. But isn't it easier to stay in shape when the military is FORCING you to train and eat right?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
A. Oh sure...
But it's still an individual responsibility because most soldiers actually eat just like most people...
...beer...pizza...fast food.
Soldiers have the same exact "weight challenges" as civilians.
The only reason they are able to maintain their physical shape is because it IS "mandatory".
Trust me...there’s no “I don’t feel like working out today” in the military!
But the "Average Joe & Jane" out there can learn a valuable lesson from this.
If you’re truly committed to creating your dream body and melting off any unwanted pounds, you have to find a way to eliminate as many excuses as possible that can keep you from staying on track.
Take an honest look at the reasons you may have stopped training in the past.
Was it the time commitment? Scheduling conflicts? Maybe you can train at home instead? Perhaps find a gym closer to your job so you can hit it on the way to work or during lunch?
Whatever you can identify as an obstacle, brainstorm ways to eliminate it for good...and make training MANDATORY.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Q. How would someone go about training this way WITHOUT having to "enlist" in the armed forces?
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
A. This type of training has finally been receiving the attention it's due and there are several "bootcamp" style training seminars popping up all over the country.
They're great but you can do it yourself very easily and without the huge expense.
I've actually created a complete manual that includes...
>> Nutritional Guide
>> Exercise Manual (covers 3 training methods directly targeting fat loss)
>> 6-Week Meal Plans
>> Training Journal (for use at home or in the gym)
I've left NOTHING out and even take on subjects like...
>> Hormone balancing
>> Cleansing
>> How to FINALLY "stick to" your weight loss program without fail!
