Like many people, I have a frenetic schedule. For those days with non-stop appointments, how can I make healthy food choices and not resort to fast food?

Just like anything in life, being successful with your health requires preparation, and when preparing for a day that’s full of appointments most successful people find it best to plan for their worst day…

 

You heard me right!  Plan for your worst day, and things will go a lot smoother for you :)

 

For example, pack 2-3 healthy meals the night before, and also stow away some healthy snacks. But more importantly, make sure you’re prepared just in case one of your appointments is late and you’re left sitting in their office all alone about to miss a meal and getting lightheaded.

 

There’s several low fat, low carbohydrate bars you can store in your suit jacket or your pocketbook “just in case”.

  • If your goal is to drop weight, then what you’re looking for in a bar is one which has less than 6 grams of carbohydrates per serving.

  • If your goal is general health, then you’re looking for a vegetable-based bar that’s jam packed with nutrition.

  • If your goal is to reshape your body & add some muscle, then the best bar for you is a high protein ‘meal replacement’ bar.  These bars are usually high in protein, medium in carbs, and low in fat.
